Connie Conwell, RN, BSN, MA

Connie Conwell, RN, BSN, MA was born in Abilene, Texas. Her family returned to North Carolina, where she would later meet her husband. They had two children, Deja and Joshua Pope.

Connie Conwell obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC. She worked as a Registered Nurse while completing her theological training at Liberty University. She earned a Master of Religious Arts degree with a focus in Christian Education. She found time between raising her two children to gain the training beyond her calling.

Connie Conwell has served as an Associate minister at Union Baptist in Durham, as the Assistant Pastor at Compassion Ministries of Durham, NC., Youth Pastor at First Chronicles Church in Durham, North Carolina, and Director of Christian Education at the Nehemiah Christian Center in Durham, NC.

In 2013, she was ordained through the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. In 2022, she was called to the office of Prophetess and is currently mentored by Prophet Euloge Ekissi of Ocean of Grace Ministries, Canada. She currently serves on the ministerial team at Nehemiah Christian Center, COGIC, under the leadership of Bishop Herbert R. Davis.

Lastly, she leads a weekly online bible study group and an intercessory prayer team. She is the organizer and host of the annual prayer conference “Prevailing Prayer”.

Her motto: Prayer is vital to spiritual survival and revival.
